Meet The Founder
Meet Gunjan, the Founder of Lemonade.
She has a knack for deets & is a big sucker for stationery herself.
One a rather chill day you'll find her enjoying the sunset by the beach with a G&T in one hand & a work call on another. Did we hear workaholic? Hell, yes!
They say every story has a happy ending. Here is how Lemonade came into existence.
"I've been in the gifting industry for more than six years now. One of the best things in life I have learnt, is that, if you work hard enough, age and degrees cannot stop you.
I started working with an e-comm company (market place) for about 9 months before I moved to PropShop24. And at the age of 23, I had become the manager. At PS24 I used to handle Online Merchandise, Social Media, Paid Marketing, Offline Events, etc.
Truly some of the best years of my life. I worked there for 3 and a half years before deciding it was time for me to start something of my own.
I felt like I wanted to have my own store, my own aesthetics to be documented, my own ideas and branding to be showcased and there came Lemonade! Started Lemonade back in July 2019 (same month as I quit my job) with too many Lemons in hand (pun intended). I have loved gifts! I am a sucker for stationery, sippers, candles, travel essentials, etc. I genuinely think I personally am an avid shopper of these products myself.
I identified barriers and issues, started working backwards, tons and tons of excels, so much learning, so many barriers and I wanted to be a market place focused model for at least the first 2 years so I understand the market from a vendor point of view.
With the lockdown in place, we started focusing on Instagram and authentic organic growth. It reached a point where we had no option, but to launch our point of purchase and so we launched our own website."
That's not all, we have a huge heart for kitties & are fostering 9 kitties currently, wherein a part of our proceeds go straight to the Wet Nose Foundation.
